Role Overview & Responsibilities

Cover Supervisors oversee secondary classes when permanent teachers are absent. While not responsible for lesson planning or formal marking, Cover Supervisors deliver clear instructions and maintain classroom order.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise secondary students executing work set by absent department teachers
• Manage student behavior utilizing positive reinforcement and merit systems
• Answer student queries and assist with task instructions
• Collect completed student work and return it to department offices
• Report student attendance and notable behaviour incidents to cover managers

Pay & Rate Guidelines

Daily rates from £90 to £120 per day (PAYE).
